The 2008 West Midlands International Trade Awards are the West Midlands’ premier export awards devoted exclusively to recognising excellence in export, import and international trade achievement.

2007 WINNERS PROFILE:
Geothermal International Ltd
Geothermal International has won the Regional Award for International Trade Company in the West Midlands in the International Trade Today Awards for its work overseas in helping neutralise carbon footprints overseas.
Geothermal International was established to provide a turnkey carbon neutral and 'very green' solution for the design, installation and commissioning of ground source heat pumps and cooling systems. Energy is taken from the ground and, with the use of a pump, it is converted into heating. This is extracted from the ground either by pumping water through an array of buried pipes, or by extracting it from an aquifer, river or lake or the sea. When cooling, the energy is put back into the ground, where it is stored for later use.
