The 2008 East Midlands International Trade Awards are the East Midlands’ premier export awards devoted exclusively to recognising excellence in export, import and international trade achievement.
The East Midlands is classified as the following areas:

2007 WINNERS PROFILE:
The University of Nottingham
The University of Nottingham has won the Regional Award for International Trade Company in the East Midlands in the International Trade Today Awards for its new university inside the People's Republic of China.
The International Trade Awards 2007, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) are the UK's premier awards devoted exclusively to recognising excellence in international trade achievement. There are 12 monthly regional awards throughout 2007, culminating in the International Trade Awards ceremony to be held in London in April 2008, when regional winners will compete for the title, International Trade Company of the Year.
In the last academic year the University of Nottingham opened a new university inside the People's Republic of China. The University of Ningbo currently has 2000 students and is a full campus of Nottingham University. Nottingham is the first foreign university in the world to open a new university inside the People's Republic of China.
